There's No Place Like Home

In case you missed the previous post, Harper is home! When we started talking about her initial homecoming, The Wizard of Oz kept coming to mind. I wanted a way that we could explain the first two months of Harper's life to her early on and how special the people that took care of her were so I created a little book for her. As you can see, this project grew and grew! I wasn't quite sure how to even begin to say thank you for all that her NICU team did for us so I ended up making books for her primary team too.

I've included Harper's book below. You can click on each page one by one to read along.

That is my FAVORITE version of The Wizard of Oz EVER !!!! One more line I want to add is : "And she lived happily ever after"... Bonnie the Great wants a chance to read Harper's very own story to her some day. I can then tell her how much her mom and dad love her ... And how their hearts were changed forever and ever all because of the Wicked Ompnalocele of the Belly.

Brooke, I have been following your blog since Harper's birth. My great-aunt Jeanette quilts with your grandmother and she told me about you guys. I have a little girl named Hannah that is 9 months old. I am soooo HAPPY that you all are home and I know you are going to enjoy having sweet Harper with you 24/7! Congratulations and Welcome Home!

I lost it at Ruby Red slipper socks. I'll be back to finish. Is it maybe Nama new baby due baby emotions or just me. Just so happy with tears and just love seeing this story all unfold.

I'll have to return. Brooke you are so very clever.
