Pharmacies

**Omohalocele pictures below**

Today, I am thankful for our drive-through pharmacy. As a new mom and slightly germ-a-phobic at this point, I am thankful that I can load up the girl and swing through to pick up our prescriptions without having to get out of the car.

With our recent goop situation, we've had an slight increase in pharmacy trips. After trying the telfa as previously mentioned, I found that the telfa wasn't allowing Harper's O to breath so the goop was increasing. When I removed her dressing last night, her O was so wet that the scab was sloughing off every time anything touched it so I made another call to the pediatrician and the surgeon to come up with another new plan.

We left the dressing off for the last 24 hours and have seen an improvement in the wetness. So as of tonight, we've started the silvadene treatment I mentioned a couple of days ago. We're also headed back to Houston to see Dr. Cass so he can see Harps in person.

You can see our new plan below. And you'll also see our fancy, fashionable wraps I found. We have patterned and colored Co-Ban wraps so that Harper can accessorize her O along with her daily outfits. At some point, I'm going to be able to open our own pharmacy with all of our medical supplies!

Brooke, you are the best mom in the world for Harper. I now know why God chose YOU to be her mommy!
Blessings to you. I am praying for answers to these current problems! Your blog makes me smile every time I read it. What a gift you have!

I agree with Susan, Brooke! You are the BEST mom to sweet Harps. She is lucky to have you as her mommy and you are just as lucky to have her as your daughter. I look up to you so much and there are times when I think to myself, "How would Brooke handle this situation?" Because really, you handle every situation with such patience, grace, and positivity. Thanks for sharing the details on Harper and for teaching me how to be a better mommy to Field. Much Love!

I know it's hard for you to see this, since you see the O everyday, but my first thought when I saw those pictures was, "Wow - look at all that pretty pink skin growing!!" She is making such great progress! I hope her goopy situation clears up fast. :)

Her O looks great! And I HAVE to know where you found the Co-Ban? (I always thought that had a D on the end of it, haha). All we have it stupid flesh color! We don't use it on her O though, just on her foot to hold her pulse ox on. I think if we combine our supplies we can definitely open a pharmacy :)
